Iron, water, fabric, mindful and generous hands, time and space to expand and breathe: these are the materials of this work. Daniela Carneiro Lino presents us Elipse, an installation composed of panels of rust prints on fabric, arranged in an elliptical cycle.

Oxygen and water are the food provided to the plates so that the metal, with all its strength and lightness, can unfold and expand into its own geography of colors, textures and smells. Daniela provides the conditions for this alchemical dance in which the iron perishes, giving birth to rust. The movement is spontaneous and free: the rust sometimes draws black lines, at other times it synthesizes into dots, or spreads into bright orange specks, and in rare moments it gives us a glimpse of an intimate glow in deep blue.

In these prints there is room for everything, or at least everything that matters: to contemplate the cycle of things, to create bonds with matter, to ask questions to the rust. Here, we witness the beauty and strength of the metal's transition, its ancestral breath marked on the fabric. In Ellipse, the pieces compose a sequence, opposing each other, in proximity and movement, like ancient planets walking through an ever-expanding firmament.

Contemplating the relationships between the things of the world and the beautiful randomness of the materials from which life is woven, a contemplative sound piece created by the artist will also be presented (22/07). She embraces the iron through textiles and immerses them in sound, an experience in which matter and air move together.

Ferro, água, tecido, mãos atentas e generosas, tempo e espaço para se espalhar e respirar: eis as matérias deste trabalho. Daniela Carneiro Lino apresenta-nos Elipse, uma instalação composta por painéis de impressões de ferrugem sobre tecido, dispostos em ciclo elíptico.

O oxigénio e a água são o alimento fornecido às chapas para que o metal, com toda sua força e delicadeza, se desdobre e se expanda em uma geografia própria de cores, texturas e cheiros. Daniela fornece as condições para esta dança alquímica em que o ferro morre e dá lugar à ferrugem. O movimento é espontâneo: a ferrugem por vezes desenha linhas negras, noutras se sintetiza em pontos ou se espalha em vivas manchas alaranjadas, e em raros momentos nos dá a ver um íntimo brilho em azul profundo.

Nestas impressões há espaço para tudo, ou ao menos tudo o que importa: contemplar o ciclo das coisas, conviver com a matéria, fazer perguntas à ferrugem. Aqui, presenciamos a beleza e força da transição do metal, sua respiração ancestral marcada no tecido. Em Elipse, as peças compõem uma sequência, opõem-se, em vizinhança e movimento, como antigos planetas a caminhar num firmamento sempre em expansão.

Contemplando as relações entre as coisas do mundo e o bonito acaso das matérias de que é tecida a vida, será também apresentada uma peça sonora contemplativa criada pela artista (22/07). Ela abraça o ferro através dos têxteis e mergulha-os em som, numa experiência em que matéria e ar se movimentam em conjunto.
