Residency
My artistic work in the residency was deeply touched by and connected to the history of the neighborhood São Vicente de Paulo, specially through the lives and experiences of Fátima and José, former residents. With much appreciated generosity, they shared their personal albums of their lives in the neighborhood.
Between seeing and writing, the Sunflowers
Everything there is between the eye and the hand is work: from the body, from the mind, from the stomach, from the skin, from the memory; there are so many possible connections between me and those sunflowers, my seeing and my writing.
Iron, water, fabric, mindful and generous hands, time and space to expand and breathe: these are the materials of this work. Daniela Carneiro Lino presents us Elipse, an installation composed of panels of rust prints on fabric, arranged in an elliptical cycle.
