Pas de deux - Women in Residence

"Woman in Residency" was an online program based in Brazil for women photographers with a narrative project. I brought Pas de deux (2018-), an ongoing project about my relationship with my mother, with dance, and my own body.

In this 1-month residency with other artists, I could explore specifically the importance of the gaze in my mother's dance archive images. This selection of images emphasizes the way I'm perceived by others and by myself while performing on stage and in life.
